Guided Rambling Holidays in
SORRENTO and the AMALFI COAST, ITALY

Where we stay on the Amalfi Coast:
The family run, four-star Hotel Jaccarino is located at the small and attractive village of Sant Agata sui due Golfi which is 9 km from the town of Sorrento and 50 km south of Naples. The hotel is in a quiet, hill-top location surrounded by chestnut trees and with wonderful views of the Mediterranean and of Mount Vesuvius across the bay in the distance. The hotel has a large terrace with a pool. Comfortable rooms have twin or double beds, TV and private bath. There is a bar and a restaurant serving excellent meals. The hotel runs a free bus into the town of Sorrento.

Meals:
Breakfast and dinner are included. Breakfast is a buffet. Dinners are taken in the hotel dining room some nights. The dining room offers a four course dinner with a choice of menus. On some nights we go to  restaurants to sample a variety of Neapolitan cuisine.
Although pizza and pasta are the culinary symbols of Neapolitan cuisine, the Bay of Naples region is also known for its superb cheeses (including the famous mozzarella), its tasty fish and seafood dishes and its delicious ice cream and pastries. One has to try such sweets as the "sfogliatella", "pastiera", "zeppole" and many others, to say nothing of a whole range of delicious table fruits.

Pictures of the hotel can be seen on the web-site www.
