In Malta we stay at the four-star, newly refurbished Hotel Solana located in the picturesque town of Millieha. Facilities include outdoor pool and heated indoor pool and a spa. Rooms have balcony, private bath, satellite TV, hairdryer, wifi, twin or king beds.
In Gozo we stay at the four-star Grand Hotel. Overlooking the harbour, the Grand Hotel offers first class accommodation in a convenient location. With an indoor swimming pool and spa you can relax after a day of walking. Large non-smoking rooms have a balcony, private bath. minibar, wifi, king or twin beds.
Meals
Buffet breakfast is included each day. In Gozo we have buffet dinners in the hotel dining room. In Malta for five nights we dine in the Bellini Restaurant and on two nights we go to the Tosca restaurant that specializes in local cuisine. Local beer and wine are included with dinner in Malta only.
Lunches are not included. A packed lunch can be ordered from the hotel or you can purchase ingredients for a picnic from a local shop or, on some days you may be able to have a quick lunch at a cafe. Your walk leader will advise the possibilities each day.
Maltese cuisine is the result of a long relationship between the islanders and the many civilizations who occupied Malta over the centuries.
