Known as the sunniest place in Europe, Malta offers an escape from Canadian winter - a place where you can relax, dabble your toes in the sea and enjoy European culture, food and history. The main island, Malta, has more historic sites per sq mile than anywhere in Europe. If you are both a history buff and a rambler, Malta is Heavenly. Gozo, its sister island, is a hideaway island, a hidden gem with historic towns and dramatic coastline. The waters are electric blue, the history is deep and the crowds are thin, It has been inhabited for thousands of years yet remains a place where outdoor enthusiasts can find bliss.

About the HF Malta and
Gozo walking holidays:
On this holiday we stay for one week in a hotel located on
the quiet island of Gozo and here we enjoy coastal walks and
sightseeing. For the
second week we travel by ferry to the main island, Malta. In addition to walking, we see historic sites,
quaint villages
and the lively capital of Valletta.
Getting to Malta:
From Toronto and from Vancouver there are good connections on Air Canada
or Air France and their partner airline Air Malta.
Level of difficulty:

with minimal ascent.
