Located in the Mediterranean between Sicily and North Africa, the Maltese archipelago has a moderate winter climate with an average high of 16C, ideal for walking and exploring. Known as the sunniest place in Europe, Malta offers an escape from Canadian winter - a place where you can relax, dabble your toes in the sea and enjoy European culture, food and history. Gozo, its sister island, is a hideaway island, a hidden gem with historic towns and dramatic coastline.
