Walkers' World
Easy guided Walking and Sightseeing Holidays in
CUBA - Havana plus the Vinales Region
Sat Feb 28  -  March 7, 2009

Our walking and sightseeing starts in Havana with its blend of colours, flavours, aromas and sounds. Sip a mojito in a bar once frequented by Hemingway. Listen to distinctive Cuban music in the Buena Vista Social Club at the Hotel Nacional.  Ramble through narrow streets to see the faded colonial grandeur of Havana. We spend three nights in Havana and four nights in the rural Vinales region about a two hour drive from Havana. Here, we explore the lovely countryside of the Pinar del Rio region with its biospheres, old coffee plantations, hiking trails, orchid garden and forest filled with exotic birds. There is an opportunity to swim or at least dabble your feet at a remote beach before returning to Havana.

About Walkers' World Rambles:
This is a "three-centred" walking holiday where we stay at three different hotels during the week. Our private bus takes us to the start of the walks and brings us back at the end of the day. Our guided walks show you the best of historic Havana as well as Cuba's beautiful countryside.

What makes our Walkers World Cuba holidays special:
  • Local professional guides are bilingual and know their history.
  • We explore parts of Cuba most tourists never see.
  • Our rambles include nature lore and bird watching.
  • We combine walking and sightseeing.
